In conformity with our general sale conditions, we shall proceed to the collection of salvage sale offers on behalf of whom it may concern in our office on:

Thursday 08.04.2010 at 10.00 hours LT

This salvage sale is organized “on behalf of whom it may concern” for the following goods:

Specifications of the cargo as per attached Excel-file:

White rust damaged coils: 7 pcs
Blocked rusty tonns: 117,350 t
a. bocked in sheets/narrow strip <600mm: 26,925 t
b. bocked in coils (width >600mm): 90,425 t

Coil number 775343366, weight 24.83 MT - the coil was oil treated in the mill. The Consignee cut the coil to two sub-coils. The dimensions of the coils were: diameter 168 cm, core diameter 50 cm. Upon unwinding the consignee noted white marks on the surface of the steel sheeting at both coils at the outer sides, there was a paper mark placed into the coils at some 35 cm depth from the outer edge marking the part with presence of white marks. As per our estimate it represents some 72% of the total quantity of sheets on the coils.

Coil number 764476192, gross weight 15.985 MT - the coil was said to be treated by white passivation fluid in the mill. We noted white marks at both flat ends of the coil, at one side it was concentrated near the outer circumference, at the other end it was across the whole width. We noted white marks also on the surface of the steel sheeting close to the edge.

Coil number 780047231, gross weight 16.37 MT - the coil was said to be treated with green passivation fluid in the mill. On one side we noted white marks at some 10 cm depth from the outer edge, on the other side darker discoloration was noted at some 10 cm depth from the inner edge. We noted no white marks on the visible part of sheet surface.

Coil number 779182155, gross weight 24.955 MT - the coil was said to be treated with green passivation fluid in the mill. The edges of the steel sheeting at both flat ends of the coil were greenish coloured, the Consignee advised us that this coil is with not-cut edges, the this is the reason of greenish colour. This is normal look of such coils. We noted white discoloration at full width of both flat ends at several places. The Consignee advised us that there was 2.4 MT from this coil cut to sheets. The sheets were stored at a separate location, packed into a bundle. We had opened the bundle and checked several pieces. On all pieces inspected by us we noted white marks on the surface of the sheets close to the edge.

Coil number 764476186, gross weight 15.76 MT - the coil was said to be treated with green passivation fluid in the mill. We noted white marks at full width at both sides of the flat end, some marks seemed to be formed in a shape of the strapping bands used to fix the coil. We noted white marks also on the surface of the steel sheeting in small width next the edge.

Coil number 777495162, gross weight 24.955 MT - the coil was said to be treated with green passivation fluid in the mill. The flat ends of this coil was greenish coloured, this coil was also with not-cut edges. At one flat end we noted white discoloration at some 20 cm depth from the outer edge, at the other flat end the white discoloration was visible at whole width of the coil. We noted also large white marks on the surface of the steel sheeting.
